On February 17, 2013, I attended the Busch Stadium Bridal Boutique. This event had food tastings, live music, and wedding vendors of all sorts. One of the purposes of this show was to allow brides (and grooms) to have a central place to talk to vendors that they may need for their big day.
The other purpose was to encourage couples to have their wedding festivities at the new Busch Stadium. We were taken on a timed guided tour of the different spaces with the stadium that could be used for everything from a large informal party to an intimate gathering of family and friends for a reception. There were outdoor as well as indoor options. You were given a feel for the type of event you might want.
I must say that this is an absolutely excellent idea for those couples on a budget who love baseball, or maybe not so much. There are wedding packages as well as prices for rental of the facilities for other purposes. The event was a success! I must say I was not thrilled with having to wait out in the cold to be allowed into another area that was literally outside as well. We went up 3 levels to the Redbird Club. We were greeted with a drink called the Friese. The beverage was available in either strawberry or watermelon with the option to add a bit of Smirnoff vodka. From there we walked around and tasted many of the hors d’ oueveres and pasta dishes that would be made available for events at the stadium. We even got to see the party buses and limousines for the bachelor/ bachelorette party. I was there with a client of course and the day was definitely worthwhile.
